Apophis: A Once-in-a-Thousand-Year Opportunity

The mission to Apophis offers one of the largest audiences imaginable for our sponsors. In 2029, this 370-meter asteroid will pass so close to Earth that it will become a new star, visible to the naked eye by billions of people. This event represents a unique moment in history—a once-in-a-thousand-year opportunity for global education and engagement around the urgent need for planetary defense.

Spirit Bird, in partnership with ExLabs, is leading the charge. We are preparing to launch a two-ton spacecraft to rendezvous with Apophis, departing in 2028 and arriving in 2029. This mission isn’t just a feat of space exploration; it is a global platform for raising awareness about how humanity can safeguard our planet from celestial threats. Alongside the mission, a worldwide social media campaign will inform and inspire people about planetary defense, featuring the world’s top experts in space science, asteroid mitigation, and global safety.

In addition to social media, we are producing a long-form docuseries that will be available on major streaming platforms, capturing the essence of this extraordinary mission and its implications for the future of Earth. Sponsors will have unparalleled exposure in this once-in-a-lifetime campaign, which will be broadcast to billions.
